The overall principle of ZANEEP is to promote, create and contribute to quality environmental education practices and awareness to enhance protection, conservation and sustainable use of the environment. Specific objectives include:

1.1.1  Share environmental education information, resources and experiences.

1.1.2  Create and strengthen a data bank of environmental educators and practitioners in Zambia .

1.1.3 Facilitate collaboration among environmental educators and practitioners in Zambia .

1.1.4  Create and maintain a resource centre for environmental educators and practitioners.

1.1.5  Create and enhance channels of communication among ZANEEP members.

1.1.6  Raise and manage funds to support the objectives of ZANEEP.
