REVIEW OF THE PROPOSED MUKAMUNYA SMALL HOLDINGS ESTATE ON LEOPARDS HILL ROAD, LUSAKA .

Leopards Hill Development Limited intends to develop a high standard sm all holding estate on Leopards Hill Road . This will be located on farm 297a, farm 300a and farm 301a. IT will be divided into 64 individual sm all holding stands each giving an average area of 1.2 Hectares. All the stands will be provided with roads, water and electricity services. A third (42.6 hectares) of the land will be used for conservation and communal recreation for the residents. The serviced but undeveloped stands will be sold to private buyers who will develop them.

This notice therefore, serves to inform members of the general public, interested and affected parties that the Environmental Impact Assessment Report for the proposed Mukamunya Sm all Holding Estate project has been received by the Environmental Council of Zambia (ECZ) for review, in line with the provisions of the Environmental Protection and Pollution Control Act Number 12 of 1990 as read with the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations; SI. No. 28, of 1997 and is available for scrutiny at the following places:

  1. Lusaka City Council, Civic Centre in room 503 and the Lusaka City Library in town;
  2. Cooperative College - Leopards Hill Road;
  3. Environmental Council of Zambia Offices – Northern Regional Office in Ndola.
  4. Environmental Council of Zambia Offices - Information Documentation Centre (IDC) in Lusaka .

The report will be available for scrutiny during office hours from 08:00 hours to 13:00 hours and 14:00 hours to 17:00 hours. Interested and affected parties may send their written submissions to the undersigned. The deadline for submission of comments is 23 rd April, 2008 .
