PROPOSED RESETTLEMENT ACTION PLAN FOR MKUSHI COPPER PROJECT Environmental Council of Zambia (ECZ) would like to inform all stakeholders and the general public that, in line with the provisions of the Environmental Protection and Pollution Control Act (EPPCA) Cap 204 of the Laws of Zambia, it is currently reviewing the proposed Resettlement Action Plan for the Mkushi Copper Project by Mkushi Copper Joint Venture Limited. As part of the review process ECZ will hold a public hearing for the proposed resettlement Action Plan for the affected community in order to collect public opinion. The public hearing will be held on Thursday 18th September , 2008 at 10:00 hours . The venue for the hearing will be the Old Mkushi Mine Site in Mkushi District.
