The challenge now is to establish a sustainable CP Centre (CPC) in Zambia to follow up on the success and continue the economic and environmental improvements in Zambian industry.

• The CP Centre will serve as an independent consulting company and deliver CP services to reduce environmental impacts and increase the profit of Zambian companies. 

• The scope of the centre will be to:

• Utilize, retain and safeguard the CP knowledge, competence and educated personnel achieved through seven CP Programs in Zambia (1998-2004) sponsored by NORAD

• Establish an independent and commercial foundation, an operational CPC in Zambia.

• Become a member of  the World Cleaner Production Society (WCPS) so as to tap into international experience

The CP Centre will provide a number of services to the Zambian industry:

• CP Training Programs

• Additional training, e.g. environmental management, environmental knowledge, environmental legislative requirements, investment analysis, train the trainer, etc

• CP assessments in companies

• CP consultancy in company projects

• Assistance to fulfil environmental licence requirements

• Assistance on Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA)

• Assistance to UNEP/UNIDO/NORAD environmental projects in Zambia
